Open-Ended Clear Polypropylene Bags – 150 Gauge / 37.5 Micron

Our open-ended clear polypropylene bags provide excellent product visibility and a smart, professional presentation. Manufactured from crystal-clear polypropylene film, these lightweight bags allow customers, retailers and warehouse teams to view the contents without removing them from the packaging.

At 150 gauge, or approximately 37.5 microns thick, the film has the crisp and glossy appearance commonly associated with polypropylene packaging. This clear finish makes the bags particularly suitable for greetings cards, artwork, photographs, printed materials and other products where presentation matters.

Unlike peel-and-seal polypropylene bags, these bags have no self-adhesive strip. Their straightforward open-ended design allows products to enter and leave the bag quickly, making them ideal for businesses that require flexible packaging without a permanent or integrated closure.

Simple Open-Ended Packaging

The open-top design makes packing quick and convenient. Insert the product through the open end and leave the bag unsealed for easy access. Alternatively, fold the top over and secure it with bag tape or an adhesive label when a closed presentation is required.

Because the bags do not contain a self-adhesive sealing strip, users can choose the most suitable closure for each product. They also avoid the peel-off backing strips associated with self-seal bags.

The clear polypropylene film keeps the contents highly visible, allowing product designs, printed details and colours to remain easy to see. This makes the bags a practical choice for card manufacturers, artists, photographers, printers, craft retailers, gift shops and online sellers.

Available Sizes

• 4.8 x 7.4 inch / 122mm x 186mm open-ended clear polypropylene bags – suitable for A6 documents measuring 105mm × 148mm, C6 envelopes measuring 114mm × 162mm, postcards, photographs and small printed products
• 6.5 x 8.5 inch / 166mm x 215mm open-ended clear polypropylene bags – suitable for A5 documents and greeting cards measuring up to approximately 148mm × 210mm, artwork, certificates and larger printed materials

Product code 51 suits A5-size cards and documents, but a standard C5 envelope measuring 162mm × 229mm will be too long for the 166mm × 215mm bag. Please measure any outer envelope carefully before ordering.

Open-Ended Bags for Greetings Cards and Printed Products

The glossy finish and high clarity of polypropylene make these bags particularly suitable for presenting greetings cards and other printed products. Customers can view the design clearly while the film helps protect the printed surface from fingerprints, dust, light scuffs and general handling.

Product code 825 provides a practical option for A6 greetings cards, C6 envelopes, postcards and small photographic prints. Product code 51 suits larger A5-format cards, documents and artwork measuring up to approximately 148mm × 210mm.

The open-ended design also allows retailers to remove, inspect or replace products without damaging an adhesive closure. When required, businesses can add a branded label or piece of clear bag tape to create a more secure retail pack.

How to Measure Open-Ended Polypropylene Bags

The bag dimensions follow the format:

Width × Height To Base Of Lip

Measure your product at its widest and longest points. Then allow a small amount of additional space so that the item slides into the bag without placing unnecessary pressure on the side seams.

These bags have a flat, non-gusseted construction. Therefore, thicker greetings cards, embellished stationery and products with noticeable depth require more clearance than flat paper or card.

When packing a greetings card with an envelope, measure the envelope rather than the card because the envelope normally determines the required bag size. If your product sits close to the stated dimensions, request a sample or choose a larger bag.

Why Choose Our Open-Ended Clear Polypropylene Bags?

Our open-ended polypropylene bags offer a simple and economical way to package products without an integrated adhesive closure. Their crystal-clear film presents the contents attractively while helping to keep surfaces clean during display, storage and handling.

The bags have a crisp, glossy finish that gives greetings cards, photographs, prints and stationery a professional retail appearance. The lightweight material also keeps packaging bulk to a minimum.

Because the top remains open, users can access the contents quickly or select their own closure method. This flexibility makes the bags suitable for retailers, printers, artists, card manufacturers, craft suppliers and eCommerce businesses.
