The Heat Sealer IS300C Kit contains replacement consumable components for an IS300C impulse heat sealer with an integrated cutter. Although these machines provide reliable service, the heating element, protective strips and cutter blade can gradually wear through regular use. Therefore, replacing these components can help restore reliable sealing and cutting performance.
This kit supports a sealing length of 300mm, which equals approximately 11.81 inches. It includes one sealing element, two upper sealing strips, one lower sealing strip and one cutter blade. However, the impulse heat-sealing machine itself is not included.

What the Heat Sealer IS300C Kit Includes
Each kit contains the main consumable components required when servicing the sealing and cutting areas of an IS300C machine:
- 1 replacement sealing element
- 2 upper sealing strips
- 1 lower sealing strip
- 1 replacement cutter blade
Together, these parts help maintain the machine and restore performance when the original components become worn, damaged or ineffective.
Heat Sealer IS300C Kit Compatibility
The Heat Sealer IS300C Kit is intended for the IS300C impulse heat sealer with a 300mm sealing capacity and integrated cutter. The replacement components must match the design, fitting points and sealing length of the machine.
Before ordering, check the model number shown on your heat sealer. In addition, inspect the existing element and strips to confirm that the machine is an IS300C model. This kit should not be selected solely because another machine has a similar sealing length.

Heat Sealer IS300C Kit Sealing Element
The replacement sealing element, which is often called the heating wire, generates the heat required to seal compatible thermoplastic packaging. During operation, the element heats for a controlled period and transfers heat through the protective strip to the material.
Eventually, repeated heating and cooling can weaken or damage the element. A worn element may cause intermittent heating, uneven seals or a complete loss of sealing performance. Replacing it with the correct 300mm component can consequently help restore an even sealing line.
Heat Sealer IS300C Kit Upper Strips
Two upper sealing strips are included in the kit. These strips provide a protective surface between the sealing element and the packaging material while also helping the sealing arm operate smoothly.
Over time, heat, pressure and repeated contact can mark, burn or wear these strips. Once damaged, they may cause packaging to stick to the sealing area or produce inconsistent results. Therefore, replace an upper strip if it becomes heavily marked, split or burnt.
Heat Sealer IS300C Kit Lower Strip
The kit also contains one lower sealing strip. This component provides the supporting surface beneath the packaging during the sealing cycle.
A worn or damaged lower strip can affect the pressure applied across the seal. As a result, part of the seal may appear weaker or less consistent. Replacing the strip helps provide a smoother surface for the sealing process.
Replacement Cutter Blade
The included cutter blade replaces a blunt or damaged blade in the IS300C cutter mechanism. A sharp, correctly fitted blade helps cut the packaging material more cleanly after sealing.
Handle the blade carefully because its edge may cause injury. Additionally, dispose of the old blade responsibly and place it in a suitable sharps container or another secure container that prevents accidental contact.
When to Replace the Heat Sealer IS300C Kit
Replace the relevant components when you notice signs of wear or reduced performance. Common indicators include:
- Uneven seals across the 300mm sealing area
- Weak sections within the seal
- Packaging sticking to the sealing bar
- Burn marks on the protective strips
- A broken or visibly damaged heating element
- The machine heating intermittently
- The cutter tearing rather than cutting cleanly
- A blunt, chipped or damaged cutter blade
However, worn consumables are not the only possible cause of poor seals. Always check the timer setting, packaging material, power supply and general condition of the machine before replacing parts.
Installing the Heat Sealer IS300C Kit
Disconnect the IS300C sealer from the electrical supply before beginning any maintenance. Then, allow the machine to cool completely. Removing parts while the machine remains connected or hot may cause electric shock, burns or other injuries.
Carefully remove the worn strips and sealing element while noting how each component is positioned. Afterwards, clean loose residue from the sealing area without using abrasive tools that could damage the machine.
Fit the new components in the correct sequence and ensure the sealing element remains straight. It should sit securely without folds, twists or excessive tension. Finally, fit the protective strips smoothly over the relevant surfaces.
If you are not confident carrying out the repair, ask a competent technician to service the machine.
Fitting the Heat Sealer IS300C Kit Wire
Position the replacement element evenly across the 300mm sealing bar. Avoid bending the element sharply because this may create a weak point or lead to uneven heating.
Secure each end using the machine’s existing fittings. The element should remain straight, although it should not be stretched beyond its intended position. Once fitted, check that it does not overlap, twist or touch any unsuitable part of the machine.
Applying the Replacement Sealing Strips
Apply the upper and lower strips to clean, dry surfaces. Smooth each strip into position to avoid creases, bubbles or folds within the active sealing area.
The strips protect the element and help packaging release after each sealing cycle. Therefore, correct positioning can improve performance and extend the working life of the new element.
Replacing the IS300C Cutter Blade
Before accessing the cutter mechanism, unplug the machine and allow it to cool. Wear suitable hand protection and avoid touching the sharp edge of either the old or new blade.
Remove the existing blade carefully and fit the replacement in the same orientation. Then, confirm that it sits securely and moves correctly within the cutting mechanism. Do not operate the cutter if the blade appears loose, obstructed or incorrectly positioned.
Testing the Heat Sealer IS300C Kit
Once you have fitted the components, inspect the machine before reconnecting it to the power supply. Check that the element is straight, the strips are smooth and the cutter blade is secure.
Next, test the machine using a spare piece of compatible packaging. Begin with a low timer setting and increase it gradually until the machine produces a secure seal. Using excessive heat may burn the packaging, damage the strips or shorten the life of the element.
Test the cutter separately and keep fingers away from its operating path. The blade should cut the material cleanly without excessive force.
Maintaining the Heat Sealer IS300C Kit Components
Allow the machine to cool before cleaning the sealing area. Remove loose packaging residue carefully and inspect the strips regularly for burns, creases or wear.
Do not use knives, screwdrivers or abrasive tools to scrape the sealing surface. These items can damage the protective strips and the element beneath them. Furthermore, avoid allowing adhesive residue or melted material to build up around the cutter mechanism.
Keeping spare consumable components available can reduce delays when a sealing element, strip or blade eventually needs replacement.
Improving Sealing and Cutting Performance
For better results, place the packaging material flat across the sealing area and avoid wrinkles within the intended seal. Adjust the timer to suit the thickness and type of material, then allow the machine to complete each impulse cycle.
If the seal appears weak, increase the timer gradually. Conversely, reduce the timer if the material melts excessively or the seal appears burnt.
For a cleaner cut, keep the packaging flat and avoid pulling it sideways against the cutter blade. Replace the blade when it becomes blunt rather than applying additional force.
Heat Sealer IS300C Kit Safety Information
Always disconnect the heat sealer from the mains supply before fitting replacement components. The sealing bar and element may remain hot after use, so allow sufficient cooling time before touching them.
The replacement cutter blade requires particularly careful handling. Keep it away from children, wear appropriate protection and dispose of the used blade securely.
Follow the operating and maintenance instructions supplied with your heat sealer. Furthermore, do not use the machine if its electrical cable, plug, casing or internal components appear damaged.
Important Limitations
The Heat Sealer IS300C Kit contains replacement consumable parts only. It does not include the heat-sealing machine, tools or packaging materials.
Compatibility should be confirmed using the machine model rather than its sealing length alone. Additionally, replacing consumable parts will not correct faults caused by damaged electrical components, switches, timers or internal wiring.
Storing the Heat Sealer IS300C Kit
Store unused components in a clean, dry location away from excessive heat, moisture and direct sunlight. Keep the sealing element flat or loosely arranged so that it does not develop sharp bends.
Protect the cutter blade from contact and retain its protective packaging until installation. Also, keep every component away from children and unauthorised users.
